Well, hello everyone. It’s that time of year when everybody is full of cheer, except me this year, because I’m ill. I’ve been unwell for about 2 months (thanks CFS! – Enjoy your stay, asshole), and I’m really hoping that I get a lot better after New Year. Fingers crossed for a healthy and happy 2017!
So, I’ve been continuing my journey through SH: Downpour and I have to say, if there weren’t so many FPS issues, and the mechanics being clunky as heck, it’d be a solid 8/10 Silent Hill game. I’m enjoying it a lot, especially the character and enemy designs. It’s pretty neat, I urge you to give it a go.
I’ve also been going through the Batman Animated Series which is so nostalgic. I remember bits and bobs from certain parts of the series, but its pretty sweet because I’m able to re-watch the whole thing like its completely new to me. I’m a big Batman fan – so anything Batman related I’m going to adore.
I have a game review which will be posted at some point, but because I’m really not doing well with my health, I can’t promise when it will be out. The game is called Little Briar Rose, and if you want to check it out – it’s available on Steam now. It’s a point-and-click, fairytale kind of game, so if you’re into both of those things, you’re guaranteed to enjoy the experience.
While writing this post, I wanted to take the time to reflect on what 2016 has given us in gaming. This year, not going to lie, has been pretty disappointing. Many games that have been released this year haven’t been my cup of tea, but we did get Forza Horizon 3 (which I adore!). It makes me kind of sad to think back on 2016 because the only game I can remember being psyched about was Forza, and I’m severely wishing that next year will bring me more hours of fun. I guess it’s not been all that bad, it’s given me time to go through many older games that I haven’t looked at before, and I even had fun playing with a ROM corrupter on Ocarina of Time – that was pure nightmare fuel. I’ve also become a big fan of Overwatch this year, so, it’s not been that bad. I’m counting down the days until Resident Evil 7 and Persona 5 next year, so expect to see articles posted about both of these in the new year.
Anyway guys, I’m signing out for the christmas holidays. Have a lovely, nerdy christmas and new year – this time of year is special to many people for many reasons, but the main thing is to enjoy spending time with family, friends, or anyone you wish. See you in the future. (Basically, 2-3 weeks).
